MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 6, 2000
Digital River, Inc. (NASDAQ: DRIV), a global leader in e-commerce outsourcing, is taking its "E-Summit" seminar on the road. As part of a global seminar tour, the Digital River B2B e-commerce seminar series began last month in Minneapolis with more than 600 senior-level executives in attendance. This month, the E-Summit will take place in Chicago, March 7, at The Westin and in New York, March 29, at The Plaza. This year, Digital River plans to reach a total of 12 major cities worldwide, including San Francisco, Boston, and London. See http://www.digitalriver.com for more details.
"Clearly, business leaders are eager to understand the nuts and bolts behind all the hype around B2B e-commerce," said Joel Ronning, Digital River CEO. "In response to growing demand across many different industries, we're using our first-hand knowledge of both e-commerce technology and business processes to help educate CEOs and other senior executives on what to expect, what to consider and what to prepare for in building a successful e-commerce operation."
The Digital River E-Summit is a seminar focused on building world-class e-commerce systems and features presentations from Forrester Research and other industry executives. The E-Summit also includes a series of presentations by Digital River's executives on topics surrounding e-commerce including case studies and examples of real e-business solutions. The seminar series is designed for senior level executives responsible for web-enabling complex business practices or launching major e-commerce initiatives.
"Digital River did an outstanding job in mixing educational information with real-world, business-to-business e-commerce examples," said Lynnae Redenius, Program Manager for Pam Oil Company, in referencing the Minneapolis event. "We realize that many companies will be left behind if they don't start moving business processes to the Web. Even for industries slow to adopt technology and process change, it's imperative to understand the benefits of using the Internet for business and even more importantly, the implications of ignoring it."
In addition to hearing from Digital River's executives, Forrester Research will present on the future of e-commerce networks. The E-Summit agenda also includes presentations on managing channel conflict, moving business processes to the Web, and improving a customer's experience on the Internet.
