TROY -- William A. Bregenzer, died Tuesday, May 23, 2000 at St. Mary's Hospital, Troy, after a short illness. He was born and educated in Brooklyn and came to Troy as a young man. He was employed at the General Electric Company before joining the Army, serving with the 10th Infantry Division as a combat infantryman in Europe. He was awarded the European Theatre Ribbon with three Bronze Stars, the Good Conduct Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. When he returned, he was employed as a mechanic at the Nash Mobil Service Station on Pawling Avenue. Later, he was the building management supervisor at the Albany Stratton Medical Center until he retired in 1980. He is the …
