House spending bills benefit projects in Chattanooga.

Jun. 15--Two bills passed by the U.S. House Appropriations Committee on Tuesday include $1.3 million for the Workforce Training Center at Enterprise South industrial park and $3 million for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga's SIM Center. The Workforce Training Center funding was in the fiscal 2007 Labor-Health and Human Services spending measure and will provide technical training to employees. The center has the potential to develop 8,000 new jobs and attract industry to the area, officials said.
