VIC: Man killed in collision in Melbourne s inner east

MELBOURNE, Aug 21 AAP - A man in his 20s was killed and one of a couple seriously injured
in a two car collision in Melbourne's inner east this morning.

The east suburban Armadale man was killed when two Holdens collided at a Prahan
intersection at about 4am, a police spokeswoman said.

His brown Holden was eastbound on Malvern Road when it and a blue Holden southbound on
Williams Road collided.

The male driver of the blue car is in a serious condition in intensive care in the Alfred
hospital. His female passenger is in a stable condition.

The spokeswoman said members of the Accident Investigation Squad were asking witnesses to
the accident to contact Crime Stoppers.

Th death brings the Victorian road toll to 245, 18 more for the same time last year.
